This year was the second year of the new Northern Crime/Thriller Book Festival.
From the off, the excitement was evident in everyone, even before the doors had opened.
Serenity Booksellers and Author Chris McDonald had brought us avid readers some amazing authors that we couldn’t wait to meet… and also the books we couldn’t wait to buy!
As always the panels that had been put together was incredibly interesting, it is fantastic to hear about how the authors have come up with their latest character or plot, how they decide where to set the book.
And how much they love writing crime. When asked if they would like to write any other genre, yes they would but they couldn’t do it without the murder 😂
Then we had the panels that just couldn’t stop making us laugh. The authors that we love are such serious crime writers we forget just how incredible and hilarious they are as people!
This was an absolutely fantastic event, and it will remain one of my best days throughout the entirety of this year!
Roll on 2027 when we have a full weekend of Books and Authors to look forward too!
